Archeopark Pavlov is a unique,sophisticated exposition presenting a prehistoric site. The complex is locatedon the ridges of Pavlov Hills and its focus is to bring its viewers closer tothe material and spiritual life of those who lived there 30,000 years ago. Themuseum itself is a singular construction descending underground into the layersof archaeological finds. In 2016 this structure received the prestigious prize“Building of the Year.” Within the Archeopark one can find stone and bonetools, a replica of the DolníVěstonice grave, artistic objects, a presentation of the most valuable finds inrecent years, mammoth bones, human remains, proof of technology such asceramics, fabric weaving and grinding stones.
The interior of theArcheopark has been created with care in order to support the visitor’ssubsequent impression. The main element is the ongoing motif of paleolithicornaments. The front of the main hall has been adorned with a relief by Petr Písařík who focuses on the artistic expressionon the motif of paleolithic finds.
The relief’s diversity is partof the composition completed in a clean, white shade and its format reacts tothe given space. The relief and its lighting serve to signal the dramaticimpressions to come from the rest of the exhibitions.
